Tour of the Cinema

Since I primarily teach 3rd-5th grade ELA; I couldn't help but incorporate alliteration skills into the theme of my classroom my referring to it as, "Ms. Custer's Cinema". Below are some pictures of how my classroom is decorated and organized. I would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions on movie themed objects I could add, or organization tips for all of my materials(the supplies just keep adding, don't they?)

Also, if you want see class projects we have constructed in the Cinema, please click here & feel free to leave compliments/constructive criticism as well.

...And ACTION!

You definitely get the Red-Carpet treatment in this room!

The Acronym "OSCAR" for our class rules & a view of our Word Wall for vocabulary; and Talents Wall to show off studnets' star-studded work!

The assignment board in front of the room. I have it sectioned off into grade levels so students can better keep up with which assignment is relevant to their class.

My behavior chart and Sub-Tub (it holds materials for my
lessons for each grade level/day of the week) as well as the Turn-In box where students hand in their work, hygiene station(GermX, paper towels, Kleenex) and dull/sharp pencils for student use.

My "REEL-y" Great Readers sticker chart where students record their AR points for each 9 weeks.

Calendar of events to remind students what is "Popping Up" at school.

Writing Center with Writing Process Posters                                               Computer Center

Where all the master planning takes place...

My favorite part of the room, the Book-Nook!

On you're way out of the Cinema, do not forget to be a S.T.A.R!
